In a novel plan that makes a whole lot of sense, British insurer PruHealth will be lowering the private medical insurance premiums for policyholders who can prove that they regularly attended a gym or quit smoking.
PruHealth policyholders will be assessed on an annual basis for signs of improved health.
If they can show that they have regularly attended the gym or given up smoking they can expect their premiums to fall.
One hopes that this sort of thing becomes more commonplace.
