The Curves workout involves groups of women using a circle of machines and switching quickly from machine to machine over the course of the 30 minute workout. The machines use hydralic resistance to build strength and can quickly be adjusted be users to match their level of fitness. In addition to the strength training, the Curves workout incorporates warm-up and cooldown, an aerobic workout phase and stretching exercises.
