Pole Dancing Aerobics
The pole dancing aerobics fitness craze appears to have started in the UK and has since spread around the world.
Aspiring participants have two choices when it comes to learning pole dancing. One is to join a local class. Many people prefer classes because it the instructor can help make certain that technique is correct and there is lots of positive encouragement from other participants, helping to ensure both a good time and a good workout. Even with the many numerous gyms and studios offering classes, sometimes it can be difficult to find classes near you. (Note: if you teach a pole dancing class, let us know - we’re putting together a directory and would be happy to include you.)
A lot of people would never dream of pole dancing in a public class setting but still want to give it a try. The good news is that there are plenty of companies out there that make books, videos and equipment that can help you turn your living room into a mini-pole dancing gym.

S-Factor: Strip Workouts for Every Woman

Actress Sheila Kelley created S-Factor strip aerobics and pole dancing classes after being inspired by her role as a stipper in Dancing at the Blue Iguana, a gritty, unapologetic story about women who make their living as strippers.
Today, Sheila teaches the classes out of her large Los Angeles studio. The S-Factor is great fun and a great workout.
The book is very highly reviewed on Amazon.com.
All in all, this book was well worth the $15 I spent on it. I can’t stress how awesomely detailed each exercise is, with clear photos for each step. And for more advanced exercises, she offers a detailed beginner’s alternative until your muscles are ready for the advanced move. Score! Plus, the exercises are fun, sexy, and guaranteed to strengthen your muscles.
Usable with or without a pole.
